“Blue Bloods” actor Alex Duong died on March 28, 2026, at the age of 42 in Santa Monica, California, U.S. Alex Duong’s cause of death was cancer. After battling cancer for a year, Alex lost his life.
Alex Duong’s friend, Hilarie Steele, shared the news of Alex’s death on GoFundMe and wrote:
“He was comfortable and thankfully out of pain.”
“He was alert enough to say goodbye to his little girl, whom he has treasured every moment since the day she was born,”
“We are devastated, but so grateful for the support, prayers and generosity you have all shown during this unimaginable time.”

On Friday, Steele shared that actor Alex had suddenly fallen ill. At the time, he had appealed for donations to cover emergency medical care, hospital expenses, rent, food, and basic living costs. Steele stated that their family received a great deal of support, for which they are “overwhelmed with gratitude.”
“He has gone into septic shock, a severe and life-threatening infection that has overwhelmed his body,” she wrote. “He is in the hospital, and the situation is critical. Everything has changed so quickly.”
“Please keep Alex and his family in your prayers,” she wrote. “Your support is carrying them through the hardest time of their lives.”
